Are you planning on moving to the Houston area? There are five Harris county zip codes with the projected highest appreciation percentage for the 2014 year, based off a median list price of $400,000 or less, according to the Houston Business Journal and the online housing resource Zillow.
The property values in zip codes 77091 (Garden Oaks and Oak Forest), 77055 (Spring Branch), 77077(Briar Village), 77063 (Tanglewilde and Briar Bend), and 77043 (Spring Branch West and South Meadow) will increase nearly 8%-10% to this year alone.
Also deserving a mention are the Woodlands (77382) and Cinco Ranch (77450), which have the highest appreciation rate for their respective Montgomery and Fort Bend counties, 4.3 percent for the Woodlands and 7.19 percent for Cinco Ranch.
The great news is that Houston has just reached positive sales for the 34th consecutive month in March, so our city is on the rise no matter where you decide to live. The job opportunities that Houston provides are propelling plenty of newcomers to make this city their new home and allowing many Houston residents to upgrade to even better areas.
