If you are looking for a new city to start your family, consider thriving Houston, Texas. Houston has been the center of the housing boom in recent years and we don’t plan on slowing down!

The largest city in Texas has had more home construction than any other city in the United States and this likely to continue in the coming years. John Burns is a housing consultant and the CEO of John Burns Real Estate Consulting in Irvine, CA and contends that Houston is the place to be for new homeowners. Our city has had more houses built last year than the entire state of California.

“Construction is growing much faster here than anywhere else,” says Burns, “and the economy is stronger here than anywhere else.” You can be sure that Houston’s economy is in the best shape it’s ever been but all of the new home sales means there will be a slight rise in the price. Despite the 5% increase in home prices, Burns predicts that houses will still be sold because everyone wants to make a smart lifetime investment.

A recent survey by John Burns ranks the top 25 master planned communities in the United States and Houston is more than proud to claim 10 of these spots. Burns refers to Houston as the capital of master plan communities as we are estimated to see 50,000 new homes pop up in the upcoming year alone. Our city is further advanced by the energy and healthcare industries that help increase employment adding 100,000 new jobs by 2016.

Houston is the place to live as of 2014 thanks to our massive amount of new homes and great economy. Consider us as your new home because Houston will be happy to have you!

I think this is awesome especially cause we are in the process of looking to buy a house, and i am going to Gallery Furniture to fill it with furniture!

We couldn’t agree more Perla! Houston is the perfect place to settle down plus, Gallery Furniture will set your home apart with beautiful furniture that will last for decades to come. Is there a certain area you are interested in moving to? Our neighborhood section is growing each week.

Everything has been booming in Houston as opposed to the rest of the country for at least the past five or six years. I’ve met all kinds of people in that matter of time which is great for making friends, but could we just stop promoting “movement” to Houston for a while. It seems like we keep getting all the people from other states, and countries for that matter, that have no idea how to drive on Texas highways. #JustSaying 🙂 LOL

It’s definitely been an exciting few years for Houston George and we are thrilled about it! We are sure a balance will occur eventually but, bad drivers are everywhere so that part could be difficult lol. Thank you for your feedback! Have a great day!
