If you are new to the great state of Texas, take a look at Safewise’s recent ranking of the safest cities in Texas. Safewise is a home security company based in Utah that combined their own proprietary research with the FBI’s national crime report, in order to make the list of Texas’ safest places to live.
There were 10 Houston-area suburbs ranked in the top 50, with the highest being Friendswood. It came in at number three, based on its great schools and outstanding jobs. The Safewise report says, “Friendswood is a place worth considering moving to,” because there is a “progressive vibe” that seems to be catching on. The residents of Friendswood are also known to be highly educated and mostly have high paying jobs in the information technology field.
The next Houston-area location on the list is Missouri City, which grabbed the number 20 spot. Missouri City, like Friendswood, is known for its highly educated residents where close to 30% of them have bachelor’s degrees. Other Houston suburbs that appeared on the list are Sugarland, Pearland, and La Porte, just to name a few.
