New Hospital to Serve the South Woodlands Area

Are you a resident of Springwoods Village area or considering making it your new home? Many companies are taking note of just how great the area is, creating more employment and easy access to things locals need to prevent them from driving back into Houston city limits.

As area the around Exxon Mobile’s campus continues to grow, CHI St. Luke’s Health, formerly St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System, has recently announced its purchase of 23 acres right off of Grand Parkway, as reported by the Houston Business Journal.

CHI St. Luke’s Health intends to build a 55,000 square foot medical center with a 100,000 square foot medical office building as well. The center, which will provide diagnostic imaging, emergency services and outpatient surgery, is planned to open in late 2015. The new addition will greatly serve The Woodlands residents and add to their quality of life.

Hospitals have been steadily breaking ground as the Woodlands has become one of the best places to live in Houston. Its natural surroundings and job opportunities make it appealing for raising a family.  Texas Children’s Hospital also recently began construction on their addition to the Woodlands area, with a 548,000 square foot facility expected to open in 2017.
